while it was a beautiful day for our rehearsal, it looked like it was going to rain on our wedding day. it drizzled for most of the morning, and then right as the ceremony was supposed to start the clouds parted and a single ray of sunshine filled the field with rays. sounds dramatic, but i guess it kind of was. there was even cheering.
one of our best friends, andrea, played the guitar for the ceremony. i walked down the aisle to "dream a little dream", and our friend jay who got ordained for the occasion did a great job marrying us. i flirted with chris the whole ceremony, and then we walked out as a married couple to the darkness's "i believe in a thing called love".
the rest of the afternoon was straight up fun. we brought blankets for everyone to stay warm (and keep), and plenty of booze to keep the blood flowing. there were lawn games and michelada mix and toasts and tears and hugs and smiles.
after dinner we cut the cake, smashed it in each other's faces, had our first dance to os mutante's "baby" then started a massive dance party that lasted for over four hours. we took a break mid dance party for a giant bonfire and impromptu 40 person sing-a-long - and of course more dancing.
things got sloppy, the photo booth got racy, and the day ended up being everything we were hoping for and then some.
i tried to edit the photos down into one small little post, but i just couldn't do it. there were so many details and moments that i want to share i just couldn't bring myself to trim it down anymore. so here's a really big post with a whole lotta pictures.
