me, nina and andrea had a ladies camping trip this weekend and it was quite the adventure
to keep the story short - the last 24 hours involved driving around the catskills searching for new camp sites, stumbling upon a whole deer spine, discovering a huge fortress gated compound in the middle of nowhere (spooky), finding hundreds of shotgun shells, hours of girl talking around a campfire, an overzealous owl hanging out by our tents, and ending the night being surrounded by a possible pack of coyotes (or cougars?)
have i mentioned i love being outside? AND adventure?
my totally awesome, super radical mom is on her way to nyc RIGHT NOW she's staying with me and chris, and we're planning on spending the weekend hanging with friends, drinking bombsicles, beaching and chilling in the neighborhood. so ready for her to be here!
this year for nina's birthday andrea and i collaborated and made a pool party cake perfect for the queen of pools and floaties
the pool was dirt cake, but instead of ending the top layer on cookies, we died the filling blue to look like water. we died coconut green for the grass around the pool, and a made a fondant nina and pool toys.
