looks like chris and i are headed upstate again this weekend to test out food for the wedding. life is hard.

last month when we went up to look at our wedding location we stayed at a B&B in a nearby town. as awesome as our trip was, i gotta say i'm not a fan of B&Bs. it's like staying in someone you don't know very well's grandma's house.

but their dog ruled.

I'M NOT A 'WEDDING DRESS' PERSON

my sister and sister-in-law came to visit a couple weekends ago and stayed with me and chris. they were only here a few days but wanted to do something wedding related since they won't have a chance to later on.

we decided i should suck it up and try some standard, run of the mill wedding dresses even though that's not really what i'm wanting. HUGE FAIL! look at my poor sister's face. she knew we were in trouble. HA.

i ended up only trying on one dress, and it was a white bridesmaids dress. i'm soooo not into typical wedding dresses. you won't find me anywhere near sequins, beads or tulle. back to trolling designers and runway shows for long white(ish) dresses. that's way more my style.

i was in austin this weekend shooting sxsw for refinery29.

after taking a couple years off from shooting, i figured it was about time i go back. i spent a couple hours a day teaching people DIYs in the conference center for our R29 booth, and the rest of my days wandering around downtown shooting street style and seeing shows.

by nighttime i didn't feel like taking many personal pics, but here's a few to give you an idea how ridiculously fun it was.
