chris and i exchanged christmas presents (and stocking stuffers!) last night since we have such a busy weekend ahead. not ONLY did he get me a new Holga 35mm camera, a cool puzzle, and the new amy sedaris craft book - but he topped it all off with an AMAZING handmade crazy fancy headdress with real feathers and fur.
the weeks between thanksgiving and christmas always fill up so quickly - its hard to find time to fit in a holiday celebration with friends. last year we went upstate to celebrate friendsgiving in rhinebeck, but this year since everyone was so busy we decided to host a big potluck. ooooh the casseroles.
i was a little hesitant about bon appetit night after the last one was just 'so so'. but the dinner we put together from the november issue ended up being amazing. i've always wanted to try making scalloped potatoes from scratch, and they turned out sooooo good. the tradition's alive!

today is my last day at Vogue. I know. who knew i'd be working here in the first place, let alone for two years. but now that i'm leaving it's a little sad.
if i haven't told you, i'm heading back into the music side of things. but you'll hear more about that soon enough. i'm pretty excited.
