CRAFT NIGHT #1 - SHIBORI!

i've been talking about making a monthly craft night for months now, and i finally decided i just needed to make it happen. Earlier this month i rounded up a handful of crafty ladies and we started the new tradition. novembers theme was shibori. everyone brought shirts, scarves, bags and socks and we went to town.

we're meeting every second tuesday of the month to drink wine, eat pizza and get crafty. if you're interested in joining let me know! December's craft is going to be making ornaments - i'm already keeping my eye out for good ideas

FLOWERS IN HER HAIR

this week was my niece becca sue's first birthday. my sister melissa loves to put flowers and bows on becca's head, so i knitted this lil white hat and a handful of crocheted flowers she can swap out. i wish the photo would have turned out better, but what you gonna do?

BON APPETIT NIGHT - SEPT/OCT ISSUE

I mentioned in my first Bon Appétit post that chris and I were making a new monthly tradition of cobbling together an entire dinner from that month's issue of Bon Appétit. Well september and october were crazy for both of us, so we had to combine the two into one dinner.

Sure it was fun trying these new recipes, but honestly they didn't wow us like August's dinner did. it was a little weak. You can't win 'em all!
