YOU WIN THIS TIME, JELLO

i thought i had an amazing idea. you might remember these awesome orange jello shot wedges i made for the heat wave party last summer? well i thought i'd be a genius and make pineapple jello shot wedges for the luau. i knew it would be an instant hit

yeah. well, it didn't work.
i guess the pineapple was too juicy so the jello wouldn't set? at least i think that's what happened.

that puts the score at jello=1, me=1
i refuse to give up.

  1. I can't tell you how THRILLED I am to have use for this information: pineapple will not allow cooking/solidification. It's some enzyme involved in the fruit--we could never use it as a pastry filler because the pastry wouldn't cook (butter wouldn't brown and hold).

    I forgot I knew that because, let's face it, what's the point of knowing that except for when you decide to make a jello shot inside a pineapple.
